Individual Counseling

 

The initial visit is the important first step in establishing a relationship between you and the dietitian. In order to create a realistic plan of action, we must discuss an assortment of topics including such topics as your current health issues, food preferences, and level of physical fitness. From there we can work together to build a realistic set of short and long term goals. While a single visit may provide a great starting spot, it is highly recommended that you return for additional visits to fine tune the action plan and discuss challenges that you may face.

Typical Initial One Hour Session: $160

  1. Analysis of typical daily diet and activity level
  2. Assessment of weight, height, Body Mass Index (BMI), blood pressure, and/or blood sugar
  3. Assessment of Calorie, Fat, Carbohydrate, Protein and/or Fiber needs (as applicable)
  4. Instruction on healthy, well-balanced meal plan
  5. Demonstration of portion control using realistic food models
  6. Education on label reading of packaged foods and beverages
  7. Individualized, realistic goal setting (copy provided to client)

Typical Follow-Up 30 Minute Session: $80

  1. Discussion on progress of previous goals set
  2. Analysis of current daily diet and activity level
  3. Re-check of weight, height, Body Mass Index (BMI), blood pressure, and/or blood sugar
  4. Individualized goal setting (copy provided to client)
